How to love someone unconditionally
“I can love people but not everyone”
“I love that person but not every part of him”
“I have a guarded heart”
Have you ever wanted to be one of those people who can love someone unconditionally? Love without a scared feeling to be putting yourself out there now?
Actually, meditation is about mental well-being but many people don’t understand how this is related to improving relationship with people around us. When we practice meditation,
we will be able to control our mind, the way we think, the way we feel, and our emotions, as well. The best achievement for meditation practice is we will be able to be happy without depending on anything else at all. Not many people can be happy this way and their happiness depends on people, animal, places, or things around them, but usually those are not under our control the whole time. They keep changing. When we don’t have them the way we expected,
we feel unhappy and this is usually where the happiness get sour and broken.
On the other hand, if we think of a person as a source of happiness, we want to get closer to that person, we want to to improve our relationship with that person, but if we think of a person as a source of unhappiness, we don’t want to get close to that person, we want to remove our relationship with that person at all.
So, if you think about it this way, our happiness really depends on what other people will do to us. But what if our happiness isn’t based on what other people will do to us. If we practice meditation we will be able to control our mind, we will be able to control our thought, our feeling, eventually we can be happy on our own and once we feel happy, we want to be a better version of ourselves and we want to share happiness with people around us, as well.
So now the direction of happiness is this way, instead of being this way. Our relationship is based on giving, we share what we already have, once we learn how to love ourselves,
we can love others in a better way and this is the magic of meditation.
